Nursery
Nursery Care for babies from birth to 2 years (celebrated 2nd birthday after September 1st) is provided during our scheduled Sunday worship times at 8:30 am and 11:00 am. Our nursery facility is staffed by trained workers who take special care to insure a clean and safe environment for all babies. Your baby will be in good hands whenever he or she is ready to begin coming to the nursery. Babies are welcome to stay in the nursery facility during worship and Cradle Roll Bible class time. Pagers are available for parents so that Nursery workers can reach them if they are needed. Additionally, a crib room is available for sleeping babies or for nursing mothers.

Children’s Worship
Children’s Worship, called Sonshine Hour at Northwest, is held during the 11:00am assembly on most Sundays for children ages 2 (2nd birthday before September 1st) through Kindergarten. Sonshine Hour usually begins after Communion time so that families may spend some time in worship together. Parents are dismissed to take their children before the message. Sonshine Hour provides age appropriate activities such as singing, skits, and puppets. A snack is provided. The Sonshine Hour room is adjacent to the Fellowship Hall in the north end of the building.

"Club 56"
Research shows that the Preteen stage between Childhood and Adolescence is the second most important developmental stage in human life (birth to 3 years being the most influential time). These students are no longer children, and they are not yet teenagers. They are in their own identifiable stage of life. NorthWest has a Preteen Ministry to 5th and 6th graders called “Club 56”. They meet for Bible classes on Sundays and Wednesdays. Regular activities are planned, including some 6th grade only activities to aid in their transition to the Youth Group next summer. This ministry is a joint effort of the Children’s Ministry and Youth Ministry. It is lead by Deryk Pritchard and Becky McClung who work with a Preteen Leadership team.

Baby Blessing
Baby Blessing Sunday is on the first Sunday of the month as soon as the new baby and family are ready to come to church. During a Sunday morning assembly, the elders pray for blessing on the family and their new baby. A challenge is given to the parents and the church to help raise the child to be a disciple of Jesus.
